Wandboard Quad Wifi internet connection

Postby machinealfr » Mon May 14, 2018 10:03 pm

Hello, I have a camera that is integrated into a wandboard quad with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. It's currently configured to run in access point mode but I would like to switch to client or bridge mode so it can connect to the internet. I've changed the /etc/network/interfaces and /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf files to work with a WPA2 key, but the device fails to boot when the default network settings are changed. I think this is because the wandboard wants to activate it's access point configuration, which works perfectly if unaltered, and broadcast it's signal. Something in the boot sequence seems to depend on activating the wifi this way. Does anyone know how to configure these wifi cards to function properly in this mode? Thanks for any suggestions
