Yocto Build for wandboard with "warrior"

Postby GregTahoe » Tue Sep 17, 2019 4:09 pm

I am trying to build a Yocto based image for the wandboard with the WB-EDM-iMX6 REV C1 board installed.

I am using the repo initialization: repo init -u https://github.com/Freescale/fsl-community-bsp-platform -b warrior along with repo sync.

There is not w wandboard-quad supported by this BSP so I then initialize the build with the following:

MACHINE=wandboard DISTRO=poky source setup-environment build

I then use the bitbake command:

bitbake core-image-minimal

The results of the build are successful, however, the output does not have an SD Card image

How do I create the sdcard image?
Should I be using the MACHINE type wandboard-quad, if so how do I add support for this?

As a reference here is the local.conf file contents

I found I could just copy the "wic" file to an SD Card and it booted as expected

Hi Greg,

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one using a current version of Yocto. You have inspired me to give Warrior a try.
However, the problems have been booting on the new "rev D1" boards (which is all that are available now) and support for the VPU and GPU.
The last version where I got everything to work was Pyro (2.4).

Have you tried playing video or any graphics yet?

Regards, Clay
