Getting 2 or more USB in with WB Quad?

Postby danell » Tue Feb 16, 2016 3:38 pm

Hi! I have a USB 3 device that needs to run clean on the USB3 input on my WB, meaning I can't use a usb hubb (don't know why but with all hubbs I have tried the device fails). I would need to use at least a mouse with the WB but so far I have had to run an app from my android as a mouse over WiFi. I guess I could use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard but best would be to use USB for me.

Is there any way to be able to get more than 1 usb in with the WB Quad? Any way to reverse the USB OTG maybe? I have searched but found nothing :|

Thanks!

The OTG port is dual role.

Have you tried an OTG host cable?

The only "OTG" I could get my hands on was this one:

It doesn't say anything about OTG in the specs from where I bought it and when I plug it into the WB and then a USB hubb into the adapter, nothing happens. The LED on the hubb doesn't even lit.

Hello, danell:

The picture you post it looks like "USB A Female to Mini USB B Male Adapter".
The difference between OTG cable and adapter is that OTG cable has ID pin.
The OTG device receiving the grounded ID pin is the default A-Device (host); the device with the floating ID pin is the default B-Device (peripheral).
