PICO-PI-IMX8M document?

Postby tmatsuzawa » Thu Sep 27, 2018 8:04 am

I just receieved this board, and turned power on, but no signal on HDMI monitor.

I just have "Quickstart Guid" in the kit, which briefly tells me nothing. (It just say connect wifi antenna, connect LAN, HDMI monitor, mouse and feed power through USB-C).

Any technical document (hardware manual, etc.) that I can look into for board jumper meaning, or schematics, etc.?

I searched in vain for information about the ordered WAND-PI-8M-PRO and later about the delivered PICO-PI-IMX8M board.
Neither in the forum nor on the site of the shop I found only a little information!
http://forums.wandboard.org/index.php nothing! :x
https://www.technexion.com/support/knowledge-base/ nothing! :|
https://www.technexion.com/support/download-center/ nothing!

Now I found it elsewhere.

With technexin support's suggestion, I flashed eMMC using good-old mfgtools.
It may be warned that I only succeed on Linux. Windows tools did allow me to just wipe partitions on eMMC.

It may be that the board caused failure on eMMC write at first boot-up where I may used AD adaptor lacking capacity. Then eMMC left half-baked and it may have caused boot faikur (no HDMI signal).

I hoped I can save time using pre-installed image, but as I do with the boards usually, serial console diagnose and dd on the storage being the quickest solution.
