No boot and overheating

Postby Hellow » Mon May 18, 2015 11:04 pm

Hello everyone,

I'm currently building a small cluster based on 7 wandboards quad and for no reasons two of them seems to be DOD (Dead on Arrival).
They won't boot (no outputs on serial) and tends to overheat quite a bit compare to their sisters.

Both were tested with the same power supply (available here) when the problem occured.
In between they were tested with different microSD cards and power supply unit, still the same issues.

Any ideas ? Should I ask a RMA ?

Thanks in advance :)

Sorry,

somehow I did not see your post until now.

My first take is that RMAs might be in order. TWO of seven is terrible. Each unit that has a "QC OK" sticker was proven working in our factory (and all interfaces were tested ok).

Is there anything on the debug console of the non-booting units?
