VPU using

Postby Endl » Wed Apr 15, 2015 10:56 am

Hello

I'm trying to use the VPU driver from "iMX 6series Platform SDK" for encoding/decoding video with my Wandboard Dual.
But the encoder/decoder hangs when he tries to encode/decode one frame.
Has anyone used the VPU with your Wandboard ?
Is VPU setting platform-dependent ?
Please give me advice how I can test the VPU unit with other OS ?

Thanks in advance

I recommend you try running the Freescale VPU unit test that is included in most of the Yocto builds (and Ubuntu too I think) in the "unit_tests" folder.
This is a low-level test that has few OS dependencies.

./mxc_vpu_test.out -D "-f2 -a60 -t1 -x0 -i davincieffect.264"
./mxc_vpu_test.out -D "-f0 -a60 -t1 -x0 -i akiyo.mp4"
