Wandboard quad and 7 inch lcd

Postby Mongoliandonut on Sun Jan 19, 2014 6:44 pm

Hey there I recently purchased a wandboard quad and 7 inch lcd and adapter baord from future electronics. I created a boot sd card and it boots up great the problem is the LCD is all discolored and just not the normal android color screen its actually yellow and the touch doesnt seem responsive. Does anyone have any ideas or should I return it and exchange it for a new lcd and adapter baord? I am a software developer and no expert with hardware but can generally learn as I go :) Any advice would be extremely helpful. Thanks

Edit: this is a 7 inch lcd capacitive touch display here is a link to the item

Sounds like you got the image onto the LCD.
Miscolourings are likely from using a 24 bit interface. Try "if=RGB666" instead of "if=RGB24" in the u-boot command line.

We use raw mode for the u-boot environment.
Try changing it on the u-boot command line, and then do a 'saveenv' to save the environment.

While I would not consider that a "getting started" question, the general procedure is:
- connect the touchscreen
- download kernel source code
- configure the kernel and enable the TS driver
- compile kernel
- install kernel onto your SD card
