LAN SETTINGS

Postby mawi » Mon Nov 13, 2017 12:47 am

Hello!, I have a wandboard quad and Debian Jessie , and boot well with dhcp and wanted to change lan settings to fixed IP , I changed in /etc/network/interfaces the IP,Gateway, tenwork, broadcast, etc , and reboot and even try restarting the service
after reboot , using COM communications appears at the final message the IP that I need of eth0 , but if I use ifconfig, appears the dhcp Ip unchanged, even if I ping from another computer, have to use the Dhcp IP , because the one IP I fixed in [interfaces] doesn't work ,
I tried even putting a eth0:1 another ip , but doesnt work
I need to change lan settings because allways changes the IP and no more VNc . do you know how to do it?
regards Xavier

Can you set a fixed address on your DHCP server?
So you get your desired address every time your wandboard asks for an IP?
