I'm running a Wandboard Quad on Ubuntu 14.04 and having a fun time trying to keep the clock in sync with the real world.
It starts up with an incorrect date/time, and I have to sudo ntpdate -s xx.xx.xx.xx. Even after that, at random, the clock will go way forward into the future (I've seen 2020 often, occasionally 2032) or a bit into the past (2014).
While I'd be thrilled to have accidentally discovered a time machine, I'd rather use it in the here and now What can I do to get the clock to stop going way off? I can ntpdate every minute, but that doesn't help me much when the device needs to be used offline.
Apologies if I've missed some stupid-simple FAQ on the matter!
