The compilation got succesful and load the uboot and kernel image into the SDcard and inserted in the slot(OS).

I didn't get any boot message in the console(serial port terminal)
can any one please help me to debug this issue.

1. Do you get messages on the serial console if you use one of our pre-compiled images?

2. If your console setup (baud rate, cables etc) is correct, then my first guess is that your u-boot console parameter is set up wrong.

Hi ,

Thanks for your reply.
1. Do you get messages on the serial console if you use one of our pre-compiled images?
I have taken the Ubuntu Trusty 14.04 images from the below link.
http://www.armhf.com/boards/wandboard/
but I didn't get any messages on the serial console.

2. If your console setup (baud rate, cables etc) is correct, then my first guess is that your u-boot console parameter is set up wrong.
I configured the console parameters as below:
baudrate for 115200
hardware flow control : tried with "yes" and "no"
and I ensure all the cables are working properly.

I tried with Android 5.0 Lollipop Image for Wandboard Development Boards. I have taken images files from below link
http://www.cnx-software.com/2015/02/18/ ... nt-boards/

Try the Ubuntu we made for WB:
http://www.wandboard.org/images/downloa ... 150511.zip

Serial console works for sure there.

In general: first debug your setup with known good software, and then start debugging the unknown software.

HW flow control should be off.

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply

I have downloaded the pre-compiled image from the given link.
Loaded the "ubuntu-1404lts-lxde-wandboard-20150511.img" file in to the sdcard using below commands

sudo umount /dev/sdc*
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdc
sudo dd if=ubuntu-1404lts-lxde-wandboard-20150511.img of=/dev/sdc bs=1M
sync

I couldn't get any messages on the console (serial port).
I had done the configuration as below:

Serial Device : /dev/ttyUSB0
Lockfile Location : /var/lock
Bps/Par/Bits : 115200 8N1
Hardware Flow Control : No
Software Flow Control : No

Ok, your settings seem ok.
What I'd suspect is that your serial setup/cabling has some issue.

Are you using a gender changer or null modem between your Wandboard and your PC?

Depending on your USB serial, you have to have a null modem (not a gender changer) to make it work.

Hi ,

I compiled u-boot, kernel and filesystem .
u-boot.img, kernel zimage and file system files are loaded in to the sdcard .
I followed the procedure for compiling and loading to the sd card as per the below link.
https://eewiki.net/display/linuxonarm/W ... FileSystem
But board is not bring up.
When I load u-boot alone to the sd card, u-boot messages are coming to the console.
Even uboot also not working when I load kernel and filesystem images to the sdcard.
Can anybody please help on this issue.
Regards,
Srinivas .
