How to tell u-boot where to search for dtb?

Postby queen-shit » Tue May 10, 2016 5:27 pm

Hi,

u-boot searches for this dtb: /boot/dtbs/imx6q-wandboard.dtb, but I want to keep my dtbs in a subfolder for every kernel-version. So u-boot has to search for /boot/dtbs/$uname/imx6q-wandboard.dtb

How can I "tell" this to u-boot? Is there any parameter for dtbs-directory for uEnv.txt? Or do I have to upgrade u-boot?

Not sure what version of uboot you are using
Looks like it can be done, by scripting in uboot variables.
Either change the environment variables and rebuild uboot or make changes in the uEnv.txt file

Check these links
http://android.serverbox.ch/?p=1439 -- search for uname_r

https://eewiki.net/display/linuxonarm/Wandboard -- search for kernel_version
