Hello All,

Currently I am working on wandboard quad. I am developing hardware audio processor using wandboard with Linux. But failed to understand how to shutdown and again Start
linux on wandboard without actually removing power supply or pushing reset button . Is there anyway to signal wandboard to shutdown linux and again signal it to start linux without using reset button or removing power supply ? Kindly help

Regards,

Tried:

'poweroff', 'reboot' or 'shutdown -r now' commands?

ps: we will eventually move this topic to a better forum.

I am looking for a possibility to shutdown my headless audio server with a push button like a normal linux server. As there is a normal harddisk linux kernel for wandboard (see wandboard.org) with my additional modifications .... You can now run the kernel as a userspace application - this is called UserMode Linux (UML). .... Shutdown the system, reboot, and enjoy
