Postby setti » Sat Feb 15, 2014 5:26 pm

But Im getting some errors when playing 1080p Videos via NFS on my XBMC.

The HDMI signal is lost and connected again very fast in the meantime of the error. Its like on/off/on/off/on/off in milliseconds. Hard to describe.
Ive tested two 1080p movies and some more 720p movies. Playing 720p works fine.

Here comes my setup:
Hardware:
WbQuard (CEC-enabled by soldering - works ok)
Samsung TV D6500
NAS: Seagate GoFlex Net (ArchlinuxARM ofcouse)

Software:
All packages from CruX PKGBUILD fork
Kernel: 3.0.35_4.1.0-5-ARCH+
XBMC: xbmc-imx-git-13.20140128 - git://github.com/wolfgar - Branch: imx-wip - uptodate as of now

Has anyone the same problem, or even better any idea how to solve the issue?

Hey there,

glad to hear that more people are having success with arch and xbmc :)
The error you posted was introduced with the new vpu allocator (as mentioned [url=http://forums.wandboard.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=263]here[/url).
It does occur often, as far as I was able to monitor it, it does occur mostly immediately after playback is stopped. As far as I know, it does not affect playback though.
I probably should bug tapani on this issue again though...

Sadly I don't know anything about the on/off error you mentioned...(1080p and 720p playback does work for fine for me, I also use nfs).
You may want to check your xbmc log (enable debug first).

Cheers,
CruX

Problem seems to be solved by using the latest git checkout of master branch from https://github.com/xbmc-imx6/xbm

My monitor obviously has no issues running 1080p, as I can see with the XMB. Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on? One of the trouble-making . 1080p looks bad on my monitor since the recent driver update and fiddling around with AMD Radeon settings. I have a HDTV with a native
