Before inserting on board it showed the data usage.
After inserting, It's not booting. After placing it back on host it shows SD card empty.

Writing it again.
Here
Install Bootloader:
sudo dd if=./u-boot/u-boot.imx of=${DISK} seek=1 conv=fsync bs=1k

after this step why this step Format Partitions:

You must install u-boot bootloader to card, then you need to create partitions and format them. What is wrong with tha?

You can also partition, format and install bootloader the last.

You can create image from physical SD card like
Code: Select all
sudo dd if=${DISK} of=sd_card_image.img conv=fsync

and you can also create image directly. For example something like this. But be careful with things like this if you don't really understand the purpose.

No, i mean say like .iso file (ubuntu image file).
How to create a .img file, (bootloader, kernel, rootfs, etc) every thing in a single file?

Like I told you. You can create physical SD card and create image file from it or directly create image file like shown on link I add. But for this you will need little experimenting to understand the process. It's not that hard - only few different commands.
