read only file system

hi,
i have install latest file system , kernel , u boot, cross compiler, using following link for my wandboard quad:

it working booting and able to login in system.
but when i try to write/create anything anything im getting error of:
"Read only file system".
im new to linux and wandboard.
help me.

mkdir: cannot create directory ‘help’: Read-only file system

Thanks it worked.
first time it failed dont know why but when i tried again its done.
