Display Configuration

Postby asirastarfish » Fri Sep 16, 2016 11:18 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to roll my own image following Robert Nelson's instructions here: https://eewiki.net/display/linuxonarm/Wandboard The reason is I need a driver for a touchscreen, specifically the edt ft5406.

I am able to successfully boot it and load from the SD card, and get around using the serial interface. However getting the display to work is proving to be interesting. In the log I can see it fails over to using the HDMI interface as opposed to the parallel LCD interface. I've been having difficulty figuring out where to go to edit things like the device tree and display settings.

Except for the uEnv.txt and an empty uboot directory there is nothing in the /boot directory.

uEnv.txt contains this.
Code: Select all
uname_r=4.4.0-31
cmdline=video=HDMI-A-1:1024x768@60e

Editing that command line hasn't done anything useful yet. I'm trying to figure out where the device tree and other boot configurations are stored, but haven't had any luck yet. Where would I go to find these things?

Thanks!
