OpenGL driver issue? (Ubuntu 14.02 LTS)

Postby kruszi » Mon Jul 11, 2016 9:15 pm

Hi there,

I am currently facing a problem with Ubuntu 14.02 LTS and Wandboard Quad.

Initially I was compiling XCsoar http://www.xcsoar.org on the WBQ. When trying to start the application (compilation sucessfull) I got an error concering libGL. Trying to check OpenGL version I ran:

Code: Select all
glxinfo

(mesa-utils package)

which returns:

Code: Select all
name of display: :0
libGL error: driver exports no extensions (/usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/dri/vivante_dri.so: undefined symbol: __driDriverExtensions)
libGL error: failed to load driver: vivante
display: :0  screen: 0
...

I immediately noticed that my compiled application (XCsoar) also threw this error on startup.

What is this error message trying to tell me? Are there any distributions for WBQ which are known to work with libGL?
I am searching for any information - I am a little newbie to linux / unix.

Thank you very much

Hello kruszi:

Do you use the XCsoar source code but failed? we use the gpu libraries from yocto with 3.10 kernel, maybe you can try this?
I was test already using the gpu test command as below:

Code: Select all
glxinfo

Code: Select all
glxgear --info

Code: Select all
glmark2-es2

all working and show the vivante GPU information, thank you!
