Mic, Line-In & Line-Out testing for wandboard quad rev C

Postby HiteshViradiya » Tue Sep 29, 2015 2:53 pm

Hi All,

We are using wandboard quad rev C EVM as reference for our custom product based on iMx6q SoC.
I booted with ubuntu-14.04, installed alsa-utils and running arecord, aplay and combination of both.
1) I am getting garbage random noise in generated RAW file
2) I am not getting anything on Line-Out when I played back some 3-4 wav sample files
3) Loopback of Mic. with Line-Out also doesn't work with my HP having Mic. & Speaker with separate audio Jacks.

Am I missing any settings which I need to do using amixer ?
Am I missing any specific arguments which I need to pass to arecord & aplay command?

Thanks,
Hitesh

Hello Hitesh:

For ubuntu14.04, the default audio setting was hdmi-audio, if you want to use audio-codec ( line-in, line-out, etc.),
you can click the audio_config on the desktop, then choose the default audio what you want (you can choose sgtl5000 as default).
Try again, I think it will be working!

Thank you
