Firefox Browser issue on Wandboard Solo, with Ubuntu 16.04

Postby shashialabur » Tue Jul 10, 2018 8:15 am

We purchased 2 nos of the WANDBOARD SOLO (i.MX6) [SKU: WB-IMX6S] recently.

We were able to get the boards to start working and they worked properly for a few days while we were trying to develop our application.

However, now the Firefox browser crashes and does not launch. The error message "We are sorry, Firefox had a problem and crashed...." is displayed and we are unable to progress further.

When we try to uninstall Firefox or install another browser, we are asked to enter the password, but 'ubuntu' as the password does not work. Says authentication failed.
Please let us know what is the password to uninstall or how we can recover from this error.

We downloaded the following runtime image from :

WB All (rev D1): Ubuntu 16.04 armhf (login with ubuntu/ubuntu)

Anyone else faced a similar problem and could resolve it ?
Any help / tips would be appreciated !

I have also faced the same issue with the FireFox on my system, and it was showing some Windows update error code 8007000e. I have searched a lot on the Internet to get rid of this error, but no result found. Can anybody help me out in this regarding?
