Arch Linux installation issue

Postby audionootje » Wed Dec 14, 2016 4:19 pm

Warning: Newbie question here (with linux experience).

In the past my wandboard dual rev B was used as a logitech squeezebox replacement, but stopped serving that role when squeezelite development had come to a halt.

So time to give the little gem a second live as a small webserver.

When trying to create an sd card with Arch Linux following the instructions at https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7/freescale/wandboard, everything seems to go as planned, but when getting to the point that the sd card is inserted into the wandboard and powered up. Then it stalls at the boot logo.

My first reaction was that I missed something in the instructions and repeated the instructions. Same result.
Gave a last try. Same result. :(

How do you figure out what is going wrong? Is there an alteration that can me made so you can see the boot commands passing by or something like that?

Connect a serial port to the Wandboard and post the result.
