Removing Android default apps

Postby muthukumar.mk » Tue Mar 31, 2015 7:01 am

I am working with Wandboard based custom board, I was able to build Android OS (4.4.2) with kernel 3.0.35.
I want to remove unwanted Apps(Calculator, Messaging, Email,..) from source build. I tried by removing PRODUCT_PACKAGES -= .., but it didn't helped me.
Please suggest me a way how to remove the default apps from source build.

1. edit thid make file.
/build/target/product/generic_no_telephony.mk
Code: Select all
PRODUCT_PACKAGES := \
    DeskClock \
    Bluetooth \
    Calculator \
    Calendar \
    Camera2 \

ex) delete Calculator
Code: Select all
PRODUCT_PACKAGES := \
    DeskClock \
    Bluetooth \
    Calendar \
    Camera2 \

2. delete apk from out dir.
