adding an utility in yocto

Hi
What is the procedure to add an utility like alsa-util in yocto. I want to build yocto with core-minimal
please suggest.

First, see if the package you want is available in the existing recipes with something like:

bitbake -s | grep alsa

If it is not available, you must write a new recipe for it. If it is available, then add its package name (without version number) to your conf\local.conf to include it in all builds:

CORE_IMAGE_EXTRA_INSTALL += "alsa-utils"

Thanks for the update, I added tools-sdk in EXTRA_IMAGE_FEATURES and got the alsa utils, is there any way to get wifi utils. I got wpa-* packages in the target. But I need wifi utils and can you help me to configure wifi driver for wandboard in kernel. I using Yocto dizzy version.
