Booting Yocto on wandboard

Postby Umamahesh » Fri May 26, 2017 12:04 pm

Hi All,
I have followed the steps define in cloning the yocto and generating *.sdcard image in the below link, ... _Wandboard

But on the minicom nothing displays, is there anything to be done apart from mentioned in the above link.

How to recompile the kernel in yocto.

Please provide suggestions.

Hey Umamahesh!

Could you please provide a log of the output? By reading your post one wonders which of the 10000000 possible reasons of failure is the one that applies to your case :)

I personally don't like minicom (don't ask me why), I use instead picocom, you can specify the baudrate and device to open in the following way:

Code: Select all
sudo picocom -b 115200 /dev/ttyS0

In my case my wandboard serial port is associated to device ttyS0 (serial port on my Ubuntu PC).

Regarding your other question, you can easily reconfigure your kernel in yocto by running:

Code: Select all
bitbake -c menuconfig virtual/kernel
